Laser Therapy

What is cold laser therapy?

Cold laser therapy (also called “low-level laser therapy”) uses a safe, gentle beam of light to stimulate healing in tissues. It helps reduce pain, decrease inflammation, and promote faster recovery without surgery or medication.

How does it work?

The laser light penetrates the skin and is absorbed by cells. This energy encourages circulation, reduces swelling, and supports the body’s natural healing process at the cellular level.

Is it painful for my pet?

No. Cold laser therapy is non-invasive and painless. Most pets relax during treatment—many even enjoy the gentle warmth of the laser.

What conditions can it help with?

Cold laser therapy can support healing and comfort for:

- Arthritis and joint pain

- Muscle strains and injuriesPost-surgical recovery

- Wound and tissue healing

- Back pain or disc disease

- Lick granulomas and skin lesions

How long does a session take?

Sessions usually last around 15–30 minutes depending on the treatment area and condition being addressed.

How many sessions will my pet need?

That depends on the condition. Acute injuries may respond in just a few sessions, while chronic issues like arthritis often benefit from ongoing treatments. We will create a personalized treatment plan for your pet.

Are there any side effects?

Cold laser therapy is very safe. Side effects are rare and mild, such as brief tiredness after treatment. It is non-invasive and drug-free, making it safe for pets of all ages.

Can laser therapy be used with other treatments?

Yes! Laser therapy works well alongside acupuncture, medications, and other therapies. It often enhances overall results and may reduce the need for pain medications.

Will my pet need to be shaved?

No. The laser can safely penetrate fur without shaving.

How soon will I see results?

Some pets show improvement after the first session, while others may need a few treatments before owners notice changes in comfort, mobility, or healing.
